In response to the economic outcome of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States, Congress passed three bills, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act, the Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriation (CRRSA) Act, and the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act that provided immediate and direct economic assistance to state and local educational agencies through the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds.
The Early County School System's most recent application for ARP ESSER funds can be found at
www.early.k12.ga.us.
ECSS requests that staff, parents, students, and community members provide input into how the ESSER funds are being spent. We also welcome your suggestions, concerns or questions regarding the funding.
