Funky Mushroom: Family Mushroom Hike at Cougar Mountain
Tiny Trees Preschool is excited to host our second Family Mushroom Hike on Saturday, November 5th at Cougar Mountain! This year, we are excited to have Popcorn Forest School join us this year to help us search for mushrooms! They are another outdoor preschool in the Cougar Mountain area. Check our their website to learn more about their programs!

This event is free and all ages are welcome to attend. In addition to the hike, we will also have mushroom guides and activities for children to take with them and enjoy.

We will be meeting at the Red Town Trailhead area of Cougar Mountain off of Lakemont Blvd. SE. There is a parking lot right at the front of the trail. To get to our meeting place, start by walking through the side (western) gate - it mostly likely will be closed. We will have a Tiny Trees sign just beyond that gate. Then walk up the hill - turn left - walk through another (open) gate - take first left - walk downhill and there we are! We will have tables set up, so look out for those!

The below information will help us prepare for our event. The information also helps us learn about our outreach efforts to see who we are and aren’t reaching. We are receiving some grant funding to host this event and we will share general, anonymous information in our post-event report, including children’s ages, how many families participated, and anonymous quotes/feedback about the event experience. No identifying information will be shared.
 
Please register by Wednesday, November 2nd, EOD, so we can prepare for the event. We will follow-up by email with event information and details after registration closes.
