Victim Offender Dialogue Inquiry Form
The IDOC Office of Victim & Restorative Justice Programs (OVRJP) is dedicated to offering assistance, information, and support to those harmed by individuals under DOC supervision.

Survivors of crime may sometimes wish to meet directly with the incarcerated person or parolee involved in their case. A facilitated, in-person meeting is an option. VOD is a voluntary program that involves thorough planning and preparation with a trained facilitator.

This program follows national standards for Victim-Centered VOD, which can be accessed at www.navac.website/VOD

Many survivors wish to participate in a VOD but prefer not to have an in-person meeting. Our office can assist by facilitating other forms of communication, such as arranging a virtual meeting or delivering a letter or a list of questions from the victim to the incarcerated person or parolee.

Once you complete and submit the VOD Inquiry form, we will contact you to discuss your needs and collaborate to find the best option.
