September GWIS Virtual Coffee & Conversation - Set Yourself up for a Successful Semester!
You bring the coffee, we'll bring the conversation! Join us on Google Hangouts to chat about how to set yourself up for a successful semester, whether you are an undergraduate student, a graduate student, a postdoc, or a faculty member (or maybe you aren't even in academia but you like thinking in terms of the academic year!).
For this topic and to kick off our academic year we will feature GWIS President Amy Belfi and GWIS President-Elect Gina Moreno!
Amy is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychological Science at Missouri University of Science and Technology, and Gina is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at The University of Houston Clear Lake.
On Monday, Sept 17th at 4pm EST/3pm CST/1pm PST, Amy and Gina will grab some coffee, sit down, and chat with you about how to plan for your semester. We hope you can join us to hear about their experiences and to ask questions about getting the semester off on the right foot.
Please use the form below to register for the members-only conversation. Then watch your inbox -- a few days before the conversation date we'll send an email with instructions for how to join the virtual conversation (via Google Hangouts).
What is your name? Please include your first and last name.
Are you a GWIS member?
No. Note, you must be a member to register and to receive the recording after the session.
Will you be able to virtually attend the conversation? If not, don't worry, we can send the recorded video after.
Please provide a brief description of your current position/career stage.
Do you have any questions that you'd like the facilitator to ask so that you remain anonymous? You will have plenty of chances to ask questions during the conversation, but we know there are just some questions you might not want to ask out loud! We can do it for you :)
Do you have any concerns or questions about the session?
Your responses have been recorded. Thank you for registering and we will be in touch shortly! In the meantime, please email
with any questions or check out our Facebook event.
A copy of your responses will be emailed to the address you provided.
