In Spring 2019, the Chicago Center for Teaching will offer Course Design and College Teaching (CCTE 50000), a higher ed pedagogy course open to all graduate students, postdocs, lecturers, and faculty at the University. This course fulfills the pedagogy course requirement for the College Teaching Certificate offered by the CCT.
Demand for this course tends to be high. In order to accommodate as many participants as possible over the course of their time at the University, we will enroll individuals into the course based on the following criteria:1. Expected program completion date.2. Whether the individual is teaching a class as instructor of record in 2019-20 (note that this is NOT a requirement to take the class).3. Assembling a class of students from a diversity of disciplines.
To indicate your interest in the course, please preregister by completing this survey by March 4, 2019. Note: completion of the survey does not guarantee a spot in the course, as enrollment is by instructor consent. We will notify individuals whether a seat is available (or whether they are on the waitlist).
