Call for Proposals - ATLE Convergence 2024
Are you in IT, ET, or educational leadership? Come share your expertise and experiences with your colleagues. Our own people are our most valuable resource! This is your opportunity to share your knowledge at the largest conference of its kind in western Canada. Join us in our 18th year of providing meaningful professional development to IT, ET and educational leadership as we move to Calgary, AB for October 16-18, 2024.

What can you talk about?

This is an opportunity for you to share what you do and speak about what you're passionate about. Anyone can present - we are looking for a wide representation of sessions from IT, SIS, Online/Blended Learning, ET, and Leadership.

Here are some ideas to help jump start your idea for a session:
  • Cloud Computing Strategies: New tips, tools and trends
  • Cybersecurity Best Practices: How to stay safe in the digital world
  • Emerging Technologies: Exploring AI, machine learning, or blockchain
  • Software Development: The latest methodologies and workflows
  • Tech in Education: Innovative ways to use tech in the classroom
  • Leadership: Strategies for leadership, project management, options for credentialing, and more
  • Any other ideas are welcome too!
What's in it for you?
  • One lead presenter will receive a $270 honorarium per 45 minute session or $135 for a stand-alone 20 minute session
  • If your session is selected, you may choose to waive the honorarium and receive a free conference registration in its place. Note: You will still be responsible for accommodations and travel.
  • Share your expertise and reach a wide audience of IT and ET professionals
  • Gain experience as a presenter
What's the format? What should I know?

The Convergence 2024 Program will be broken down into 45 minute slots.
  • Choose either a 20 minute, 30 minute, or 45 minute session to share your knowledge
  • Consider a 20 or 30 minute session followed up with a 10 to 25 minute discussion of what's happening in our different boards on your topic
  • Consider co-presenting with someone else from your team
  • Note: Presenters are expected to be registered for the conference and are not automatically counted in numbers for capacity and food services.
