Each year the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to the artistic, historical, and cultural life of Montgomery County. Established in 2006, AHDC Lifetime Achievement Awards are presented at our annual membership meeting in November.
Please complete this form to nominate an individual for one of the Clarksville-Montgomery County Arts & Heritage Development Council's Lifetime Achievement Awards. Nominees must be current or past residents or have close personal or professional ties to Montgomery County, Tennessee. Previous recipients are not eligible. Only Montgomery County-based individuals, businesses, or organizations may submit nominations.
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN THE ARTS
To recognize artists, arts scholars, patrons, or promoters who have made outstanding contributions to the artistic and cultural life of Montgomery County. The award is intended to honor long-term achievements in supporting or participating in activities which foster excellence in, appreciation of, or access to the arts in Montgomery County.
This award recognizes artists, scholars, patrons, or promoters who have made outstanding contributions to the artistic and cultural life of Clarksville-Montgomery County. They have supported or participated in one or more activities that:
- Promote excellence in the arts
- Increase public appreciation of the arts
- Expand access to the arts across the community
LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT IN HERITAGE
To recognize individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the understanding, preservation, and appreciation of our historical heritage in Montgomery County. The award is intended to honor long-term achievements in discovering, preserving, and passing on Montgomery County’s unique history and the accomplishments of its earlier citizens.
This award recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the understanding, preservation, and appreciation of Montgomery County’s history. They have demonstrated leadership or initiative in one or more of these areas:
- Discovering and preserving local history
- Educating the public about Montgomery County’s unique heritage
- Honoring the accomplishments of earlier residents
