Application for Technical Committee Liaison Turbo Expo 2021
Purpose
The IGTI Student Advisory Committee (SAC) is looking for student liaisons to interact directly with the IGTI technical committees. The student will be expected to serve as a link between the SAC and the leadership of the technical committee to which they are assigned. The potential outcomes of this relationship include, but are not limited to, collaboration for future tutorial sessions at IGTI Turbo Expo, communication of ideas and announcements between the SAC and the technical committee, and opportunities for professional development.

Expectations
Applicants for these positions must be degree seeking students. The liaison will be expected to communicate directly with the leadership of the technical committee to which they are assigned. Further, the liaison should be in attendance at the 2021 virtual Turbo Expo. Because attendance at Turbo Expo may not be guaranteed, applicants should apply with the intention to attend Turbo Expo 2021. If outside funding is necessary for conference attendance, please consider applying for the Student Advisory Committee Travel Award here: https://event.asme.org/Turbo-Expo/Students/Student-Travel-Awards. However, being awarded a technical committee liaison position does not guarantee funding for the conference.

Communication with the SAC leadership team may be requested prior to, during, and following Turbo Expo. The service period will extend from February 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021. Additional expectations may be outlined by the SAC leadership team, but not without input from the liaison.

Application Process
To apply for a position as a liaison to the IGTI technical committees on behalf of SAC, please complete this application to its entirety by January 15, 2021. If several applicants desire to represent the same technical committee, the SAC leadership team will choose representatives based on the contents of this application.
