The Battery Conservancy's Stewardship Lab is ideal for Middle and High School groups interested in hands-on experiences in the field of conservation.  We welcome a range of partners, including school classes or afterschool groups and clubs.  Generally our Stewardship Lab groups include between 6 and 12 students per visit, though occasionally we are able to accommodate larger groups.  Participating groups will receive guidance and context from our education staff as they work together to maintain our public green space and grow food for donation to local hunger relief organizations.  Visits are scheduled for the morning or afternoon and can include the planting, maintenance, and harvest of our vegetable and forest farms, with opportunities to monitor the ecological health of our terrestrial and marine ecosystems.  Time commitments are flexible depending on group needs -- please fill out this interest form and we will reach out to determine the structure that suits your group best.  Thank you!
