Maternal health is a central theme in Sustainable Development Goals 3, with the target to reduce maternal mortality to <70 per 100.000 live births by 2030. Ghana’s maternal mortality rate currently is >300 per 100.000 live births. Research and innovation can meaningfully contribute to acceleration of the improvements made over the past years in the area of maternal health past years.
This symposium aims to bring together practitioners, researchers and policy makers from Ghana and the international community to exchange knowledge and map future priorities in research to improve care provided to women during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.
Inspiring key-note speakers will discuss future priorities and needs for maternal health research in Ghana to improve the care provided during pregnancy, delivery and postpartum.
