Jews Against White Supremacy UCSC Interest Form
Hello! Are you an antizionist and anti-imperialist Jew* at UCSC interested in fighting for the liberation of Palestine and the liberation of all peoples oppressed by white supremacy alongside a Jewish community that rejects zionism’s hold on Jewish life and instead engages in alternative forms of Jewish culture? Then perhaps you’d be interested in joining the UCSC chapter of Jews Against White Supremacy (JAWS)!

This chapter is an activist group that both works in solidarity with UCSC Students for Justice in Palestine and the UC Divest Coalition. We also engage in our own campaigns against zionism in all of its forms here on campus. We work to develop educational campaigns on Judaism, zionism, antisemitism, white supremacy, and more. We also work to provide community for antizionist Jews who are looking to practice Jewish life, culture, and community in opposition to zionism, because as antizionist Jews on campus we are not afforded such a space.

*While we are "Jews Against White Supremacy," we welcome any comrade from any background willing to engage in our antizionist and anti-imperialist organizing. That being said, we approach our organizing from a Jewish perspective and thus our membership is primarily Jewish. For those wanting to participate in antizionist organizing on campus outside of such a framework, we suggest joining our comrades at Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP). JAWS is in full solidarity with SJP and supports and/or collaborates with them in everything they do. We do not exist to divide the antizionist movement in any way but to rather organize the antizionist Jewish community on campus both against Jewish and non-Jewish zionist institutions that routinely use our name to defend their support for the israeli settler colonial apartheid state, and towards an antizionist Jewish tradition rooted in radical care and radical anti-imperialist politics.

Please include any comments, ideas, questions, and concerns you have in the space at the end!
