For the first time ever the V1 Malta Series will have Crossplay enabled. Therefore, the platforms that will be allowed to participate are current gen consoles ONLY (i.e. PS5, Xbox Series X/S) and PC (Steam).
Drives that use other platforms which are not as listed above will not be able to participate.
The top 7 drivers from the V1 Malta Series S6 Main Championship & Top 3 drivers from the S6 Tier 2, will be automatically qualified for S7 should they wish to compete again. If any of the mentioned drivers do not sign up, their seeding will be transferred to whoever finished in P8 in S6. This process will continue until we have 10 drivers seeded from the official S6 standings.
The qualifying event will take place on Monday 16th September, comprising of 2 Online 18 minute Qualifying sessions. The tracks will be Spain & Qatar, respectively.
To earn a spot in the V1 Malta Series S7, drivers need to average a Top 10 total time from this qualifying event.
Drivers that qualify outside the top 10, (11th and below) will be given a reserve driver role for main championship.
If we have a good amount of signups, we will host a 2nd Tier, which will take place every Thursday. Please note that Tier 2:
A. Will not be streamed
B. No graphics will be posted on our socials
If a main driver is unavailable for a race or drops out of the championship, the driver that finished in P11 in the qualifier will be given the full time seat. If another driver drops out, the driver that finished in P12 in the qualifier will be given the seat and so on.
