Midway HS "Raider Round Up" Band Competition (Oct. 5) Registration Form
The first annual Midway "Raider Round Up" Band Competition will be hosted on Saturday, October 5th, 2019 at Midway High School in Newton Grove, NC! It is my pledge to you to provide a great day filled with music education and a great experience for all!

We will be hosting a traditional competition (40-30-30). Most importantly, we will be providing quality judges who will make this an educational experience by providing a meaningful critique of your show in the hope it will help your students for the remainder of the season. Paul Murtha, Steve Petrucci, Brandon West, Alison Boore, Marvis Rorie, and Jason Williams will be judging this year's competition. We strive to have great judges who are ready to give positive feedback and constructive criticism. Each band will receive all of their judge's comments, along with a video of the show.

We are very excited to host "The Spirit of the Carolinas Marching Band" from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke as our exhibition band. They will perform at the end of the competition day! We hope that this will be an educational moment for your students.

We will be hosting a traditional competition (40-30-30) complete with all caption awards, the Spirit Award, and Grand Champion Awards for the highest scoring band of the day. When you attend our competition, you have my guarantee that you will be provided with the utmost care and attention in your day. A Director’s booth will be there for all the Band Directors and their assistants, and of course, our excellent facilities will be at your disposal for uniform changing and anything else you may need.

Registration fee will be $45.00 if you get it in before September 2nd, or $60 from September 3rd-September 20th. Bands will be placed in classes according to number of winds:

up to 30 A
31 to 50 AA
51 to 70 AAA
71+ AAAA

Classes will be adjusted according to number of bands registered and sizes of the bands. A 5A class may be added if more than 15 bands register for the competition. Performance order in class is based on when we receive registration AND payment. We want to provide a positive experience for all! We will decide on a split or full awards ceremony after registration closes to make the day the best experience possible for all.
