The massive urgency of our work is driven by a nuanced and deep understanding of a global crisis where technology has become dominant, shaping our mental health, relationships, and understanding of the world. Today’s financially-incentivized technology platforms are built on personalized, artificially-intelligent algorithms that distort our choice-making and sense-making environments. We see evidence of social decay all around us: declining physical and mental health, damage to our social relationships, shortening of our attention spans, as well as polarization, disinformation, and the manipulation of democracies. These threats are increasing exponentially in scope and scale, far outpacing our human ability to respond as we suffer from their impact.

This position involves:
- Working closely with our core CHT team to understand our description of the problem and solutions in order to communicate it effectively to policymakers, shareholders, advertisers, etc.- Educating and advising partners involved in policy-related work- Advising on legislation that policymakers may be considering- Working with strongly leveraged shareholders and advertisers to increase external pressure on companies
Ideal candidates will have many years of experience working on policy with a wide range of stakeholders, including government officials, corporations, lobbyists, movement-building organizations, etc.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as are strong product and project management skills.
The candidate must also have outstanding collaboration skills (strong empathy, exemplary ethics, general communication skills) and the ability to adapt to rapidly changing circumstances.
EMPLOYMENT TERMS: This is an employee position with an immediate start date.
