Please describe your general level of physical fitness and ability to undertake a semester-long canoe trip on the Mississippi River. This will involve some days of 6-8 hours of paddling, with 1-3 rest days/week. Many nights we will be camping in primitive campsites, cooking our own food, and bathing in the river.

Course preferences *
All students on the program will take the Integrative Seminar on Environmental and River Politics (POL 241) and a self-designed Independent Study (ENV 499), and the HPE 002--Canoeing Course credit. In addition, students select two additional courses that will be offered either as independent study or hybrid courses. Indicate below what two courses you would like to take while on the River Semester. Final course approval will be determined with the departments and faculty offering those courses.

The Pentair Foundation has generously granted funds to provide a limited number of high impact (up to $4,000) scholarships on Augsburg's River Semester, particularly for students with financial need and interested in a career related to sustainability. Once your application is complete and submitted you will be contacted by the Program Director to set up a meeting and interview. If you are accepted into the program you will then need to sign the "Confirmation to Enroll" form and meet with the program director and formally register for the program.
