Eligibility: In order to qualify for project funding, all of the following must apply.
You must:
- Be registered as a full time UCI graduate or professional student
- Advertise the event widely to the graduate student body at UCI
- Verify event date is within the provided time frame
- If awarded, provide receipts for reimbursement and list of attendees (sign in sheet required)
- Not use funds to purchase alcohol
- Plan your event in compliance with UCI COVID-19 policies
- Plan your event on UCI Campus
- Applicable expenses may include but are not limited to the following: supplies, food (UCI approved vendors (can deliver), UCI catering, Non-UCI approved vendors (cannot be delivered but can be picked up), certain software/programs (must be approved by OIT first), or other creative ideas.
Important information for funding use:
- Can only purchase Pepsi product for drinks (water is an exception)
- Cannot fund purchasing operational material for clubs (reuseable material), but can pay for rental
- Cannot pay for grocery/cooking material due to EH&S regulations
- Cannot provide parking permits to UC students or faculty
- Cannot provide honoraria at this point, but can compensate if the speaker has an Agency and provide their W9 and a speaker contract.
- Cannot fund recurring club/organizational meetings
Your project request will be assessed using the guidelines listed above and according to the AGS Constitution and Bylaws (
https://www.ags.uci.edu/governance/documents/constitution-and-bylaws/). As such, it may take
4-6 weeks to get approval by AGS, so keep this in mind when applying. Funding is not guaranteed and we strongly encourage you to apply far enough in advance to secure external funding if needed.
