Exchange: The Tale of Two Style Cities,” roundtable, and seminars on November 27th & 28th as part of the “Fashion To Reconnect: A Tale of Two Style Capitals”.
FASHION TO RECONNECT: A Tale of Two Style Capitals, organised by the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences (CLASS), City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) with Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte in partnership with Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency as a programme of the Hong Kong Fashion Fest which is presented by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, will be held from 17 November to 25 December 2025. This cultural exchange project is supported by the Consulate General of Italy.
The symposium will explore the dynamic dialogue between Eastern and Western cultures through the lens of design, art, and innovation. This event will feature a series of panel discussions introducing the “Fashion to Reconnect” project and key topics such as fashion and cross-sectorial collaboration, approaches to partnerships between disciplines and regions to promote global trends and innovation. Additionally, the symposium will examine the interplay of arts between East and West, celebrating traditions and modern influences that shape creative dialogues across continents. A key focus will be placed on sustainability, Eastern and Western approaches to eco-conscious design, resource management, and cultural preservation. Together, these conversations will illuminate the shared values and unique perspectives of two style-driven cultures, inspiring deeper connections and creative synergies.
The roundtable and the two seminars will focus on discussing with professionals from the creative industries the importance of collaboration across different disciplines, particularly fashion and art in this case.
