The Africana, Asian American, Chicano, & Native American (AAACNA) Studies Center at SJSU is launching the Waves of Resilience: Art & Scenes of AAPI Healing Exhibit. This exhibit showcases the powerful intersection of art, photography, music, poetry, and storytelling that explores themes of healing and wellness within the Asian American and Pacific Islander Diaspora communities. Through diverse mediums, the collection highlights personal stories and cultural expressions that emphasize resilience, self-care, mental health, and collective healing.
The Exhibit will be held from March 29th-May 25th and located on the 5th floor of Dr. Martin Luther King Library (150 E San Fernando St, San Jose, CA 95112). We welcome submissions from Asian and Pacific Islander community members all across the diaspora, including students, artists, community organizers, healers, educators, and all interested in sharing their work with the community.
We would love to have you join us for our Community Exhibit Celebration Reception on Sunday April 27th from 2-4pm pst at King Library 5th floor open to all. We will have food, music, and a great celebration for all our artists and community members.
