radKIDS - Personal Empowerment Safety Education (5-7 years)
The 5-day RAD (Resisting Aggression Defensively) Kids program teaches positive, safe choices for children to handle abuse, bullying and abduction as well as everyday safety issues. It gives children confidence, skills and self-esteem to recognize, resist and if necessary, escape violence.

The 10-hour program is taught over the course of five, two-hour days and covers a wide range of subjects including, but not limited to:

* Safety at home, at play and at school
* Vehicle & personal safety
* Responses to bullying
* Realistic physical defense skills against abduction
* Good, bad and uncomfortable touch
* Internet safety
* Planning for emergencies such as fire and natural disasters

Cost per child is $10 for ALL FIVE DAYS and includes all materials and a parent manual. Class size is limited. Parents are encouraged but not required to attend. Graduated radkids are also entitled to practice and return to a class until their 13th birthday for FREE!

The program will run from Monday thru Friday, 5:30pm to 7:30pm each day and will be held at the CSUN Department of Police Services, 2nd Floor Training Room, located at 9222 Darby Ave., on the corner of Darby Avenue and Prairie Street.
