The infrastructure challenge facing Balsall Common
The Solihull draft plan envisages over 2000 more homes and around 5000 more residents for Balsall Common in the next 15 years. That is 60-70% more homes.

The draft plan already makes provision for a new primary school and changes to the catchment area for the Heart of England to allow it to take more local pupils. Water, sewage and other utilities are provided by the specialist suppliers who have the legal power to make a charge on developers to meet the cost. The Doctors’ surgery was sized to accommodate more medical staff and hopefully the NHS will train sufficient staff to meet our local needs.

Finally, the draft Solihull plan proposes a bypass around Balsall Common.
