2018 Georgia 4-H Summer Camp Counselor Application -- Form A

This form is for applicants without previous experience as counselors in the Georgia 4-H Summer Camping Program.

THIS APPLICATION MUST BE SUBMITTED BY FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3, 2017.

VERY IMPORTANT: IF SELECTED AS A COUNSELOR, THOSE APPLICANTS ASSIGNED TO A WATERFRONT POSITION, INCLUDING ALL SMALL CAMP COUNSELORS, WILL BE REQUIRED TO POSSESS OR OBTAIN AMERICAN RED CROSS LIFEGUARD CERTIFICATION BEFORE THE CAMPING SEASON BEGINS. A SWIM TEST ON FRIDAY, JANUARY 5, OR SUNDAY, JANUARY 7, 2018, IS AVAILABLE TO ALL APPLICANTS, AND BONUS POINTS IN THE COUNSELOR SELECTION PROCESS WILL BE AWARDED BASED ON THEIR PERFORMANCE ON THIS SWIM TEST.

Counselor training is very important to the success of the camping season. You will be expected to participate in two counselor training weekends if selected to be a counselor. Those weekends include:

February 23-25, 2018 All Counselor Training Rock Eagle 4-H Center

And one of the following weekends, depending on your Center assignment:

March 16-18, 2018 Fortson Training Fortson 4-H Center
March 16-18, 2018 Wahsega Training Wahsega 4-H Center
March 23-25, 2018 Burton Training Burton 4-H Center on Tybee Island
March 23-25, 2018 Jekyll Training Camp Jekyll
April 6-8, 2018 Rock Eagle Training Rock Eagle 4-H Center
