We welcome original, well-researched pieces that explore football through the lens of culture, identity, and the black diasporic experience.
We’re particularly interested in stories about football athletes, coaches, and other figures who are African or of African descent, especially those based in North America, Africa, the Caribbean, South America, and Europe—whether these narratives are historical or contemporary. Submissions should generally run 250–400 words and be
separated into 3-6 short blurbs, include relevant sourcing or data, and align with our ethos of highlighting underrepresented perspectives in the global game.
When submitting, please include a short author bio if it is your first time, any references or citations, and clear ideas for accompanying visuals if applicable. All articles must be the writer’s own work, reflect inclusive storytelling, and comply with our standards for accuracy, respect, and positive cultural representation.
