We, the people of The Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church, affirm the rights of all people. We recognize that each and every person is created in God’s image and deserves to be welcomed as such. We continue to believe that God’s love is not exclusive. All people are welcome to lead and be a part of the church.
We agree that there will be no more silence. As one unified body, we will loudly declare God’s love for everybody and continue to welcome all to our church.
The people of the Missouri Conference of the United Methodist Church will not stand with this decision as it does not reflect who we are, what we believe, or what God intends for the church. Just as God welcomes all, so do we.
