The composition of the EWC Scientific Committee is intended to extensively represent the entire universe public wine research centres. The Scientific Committee will evaluate the research works that candidate to the Enoforum Web Contest 2021. The evaluation process will take place entirely via the Internet in the months of November-December 2020: SC components will have access to the abstracts of the candidate researches (made anonymous), and will judge them for the criterion “relevance for modern and innovative wine production”.
The total number of applicants is expected to range between 100 and 150; although, each SC component is free of evaluating all candidates to the EWC, or simply judging only those involving scientific disciplines within its competence.
The components of the EWC SC can candidate for the prizes one or more researches performed by their own or by the group to which they belong; in that case their evaluation will not be taken into account when computing the rankings.
Membership in the SC does not provide any compensation or reimbursement, but its members are entitled for registration to Enoforum Web Conference, held online from 23 to 25 of February, and free admission to all the face-to-face Enoforum editions of the year 2021 (USA, May 5-6; Italy, May 18-20) and InfowineForum (Portugal, dates to be defined).
This application form should be sent before November 6th, 2020.
