Symbiota Redacted Data Request
Are you a researcher and/or public lands manager in need of access to redacted data in a Symbiota portal? If so, please complete this form to help the Symbiota Support Hub direct your request to the relevant collections administrators to obtain permission for you to view their data. This permission will come in the form of a one-time data export, unless you describe a strongly justified need for ongoing access to these records within a portal.

Please request access judiciously and consolidate requests for access to redacted data. For example, if multiple individuals from your office/team require the same data access, please make that clear in your response to this form. Doing so will help expedite our ability to fulfill your request.

The Symbiota Support Hub will send a summary of your request to administrators of the relevant collections. These individuals will be given opportunity to opt out of your request before you will be given data access. This process typically takes 1-2 weeks to complete.

📬 Once you submit this form, email help@symbiota.org to notify us of your submission. You must contact us directly for your request to be processed. The Symbiota Support Hub may ask for more information after receiving your response to this form.
