Link Crew Club Application
Link Crew Club Application 2019-2020 School Year
Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience. Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, Boomerang Project’s proven high school transition program trains upperclassmen mentors to be Link Crew Leaders. As positive role models, Link Crew Leaders are student leaders who guide the freshmen to discover what it takes to be successful during the transition to high school and help facilitate freshman success. Link Crew is a nation-wide program that was brought to CHS in 2015.
More studies have show that if students have a positive experience their first year in high school, their chance for success increases dramatically. Link Crew provides the structure for freshmen to receive support and guidance from sophomores, juniors and seniors who have been through the challenges that high school poses, and understand that the transition to a larger school can sometimes be overwhelming.
**Link Crew functions as two entities at CHS - a club and a class. You are applying for the Link Crew Club. If you wish to take the course, please check out Mr. Boelman's website (

) or talk to your counselor! In the class we cover topics such as Diversity and Leadership, Self-Empowerment, Bullying, Public Speaking, Ethics, Social Media/Technology, Peer Counseling and more!**
