ERLC Internship Application
The ERLC is dedicated to engaging the culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our internship program exists to prepare students and young professionals with a gospel-centered, kingdom-focused perspective on the issues of everyday life. Interns come alongside ERLC staff to equip church leaders to address complex ethical issues in their communities and represent Southern Baptists to the United States government.

We offer semester and year-long programs in both of our offices in Nashville, TN and Washington, DC. The programs are unpaid and housing and other logistics are the responsibility of the interns selected. Applicants are expected to have completed at least their freshman year of college before they begin their internship.

Please complete this application by answering each question and uploading the requested documents.

Required
Statement of Faith *
The ERLC requires all interns to possess a mature orthodox Christian faith as defined by the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Though the ERLC holds its Southern Baptist distinctives with both pride and conviction, we also recognize that many Christian traditions of goodwill may charitably disagree with the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 on Article VII pertaining to Baptism and the Lord's Supper. Because the ERLC wishes to make internships available to students from other Bible-believing traditions who might disagree with Article VII, applicants from these traditions are invited to apply. All intern applicants must otherwise affirm the entirety of the Baptist Faith and Message 2000 for consideration of an ERLC internship. You can view the Baptist Faith & Message here: http://www.sbc.net/bfm2000/bfm2000.asp. After reading, please check all boxes that apply to you.

Please let us know where you attend or are a member, and whether this church is a part of the Southern Baptist Convention.
