Pursuant to its over-arching objective of ensuring that athletes with physical impairments (para-athletes) in Malta and Gozo fulfil their potential and achieve sporting excellence, the Malta Paralympic Committee (‘MPC’) wishes to map out the current state of para-sport, so as to better understand the challenges and to amplify the opportunities for para-athletes, be it at grassroots or elite level.

One of the key elements in this process involves the identification of active para-athletes, existing para-sporting disciplines, etc. This exercise will enable the MPC to chart the realities of today, and more importantly, work towards the realities of tomorrow.

The data shall be collected, used, stored, and processed strictly in accordance with the Data Protection Act (Cap. 586 of the laws of Malta). The feedback received will be critically evaluated and will form a fundamental pillar in the design and implementation of the MPC’s long-term strategy.
