Join Us to Create a Public Artwork to Raise Awareness about Hackensack River Flooding  Please RSVP by March 24, 2023

The Northern NJ Community Foundation's ArtsBergen was one of 5 recipients of a grant sponsored by the NJ Department of Environmental Protection and the NJ Council of the Arts to produce a public artwork that raises awareness of the devastating effects of Hackensack River flooding.

"Flood Theater", which will include a metal sculpture based on North Jersey 19th century applique quilts, will be created by artist, Juliacks. Juliacks will incorporate contributions from community members from Oradell, New Milford, and other municipalities along the Hackensack River that are affected by flooding. The artwork will be installed behind the Oradell train station.

Join us to Co-Create the Public Artwork, Flood Theater!
