Kehilla Kickstart - IU Hillel Grant

Indiana University Hillel offers microgrants of up to $400 to help IU Bloomington students host small programs and campaigns that cultivate community amongst Jewish students. To apply for a grant, please fill out the form below. After you complete the form, the Grant Program Team will follow up with you within 10 business days to determine eligibility for IU Hillel funding. You may be asked to meet with the Grant Program team to discuss further how funding will be used. If you are unsure if your program qualifies for grant funding feel free to reach out to microgrants@iuhillel.org. Grants may not be approved if the programs date and time conflicts with a major IU Hillel event (i.e. Hanukkah Party, Purim Carnival, Holidays, or IsraelPalooza) or major University events (i.e. Little 500, Graduation, or major athletic events).

PLEASE NOTE: All Hillel grants for campus events will be processed as reimbursements. Hillel requires that grant applications are submitted at least 3 weeks prior to the event for which the funds are needed. For time-sensitive cases and emergency funding, please contact IU Hillel directly at microgrants@hillel.org for additional assistance.

If your grant is approved, you'll receive an email from the Hillel Grant Program Team outlining the approved amount we're sponsoring and the grant requirements, which are also listed below:

1. Marketing materials featuring the IU Hillel logo

2. All relevant receipts, mirroring the approved funding amount as closely as possible

3. At least 4 high-quality photos of students engaged in the program

4. A submitted Hillel Program Report (you'll receive a link via email to the form upon grant approval)

The grant report should be submitted and all unused materials returned to IU Hillel within 14 days after the event for prompt reimbursements. Grant reports that are not submitted by the 14-day deadline may be subject to cancellation. After the program, once all of these materials have been successfully submitted, we will process your grant as a reimbursement. This will come in the form of a check made out to the applicant.

If you have any questions throughout this process or need further support, please reach out to IU Hillel or email microgrants@iuhillel.org with your name and question.
