The Women-Led Community Safety Empowerment Project aims to improve public safety and build stronger communities among marginalised women, including Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic, asylum-seeking and refugee communities.
In response to recent racist and Islamophobic riots, this initiative will provide community engagement, workshops, and training to empower women and foster trust between law enforcement and the community.
The project will also focus on reporting hate crimes and ensuring that affected individuals receive the support they need. Pre-launch community awareness efforts will be undertaken to maximise outreach and participation.
