Information
The Mississippi Mile is a downtown block party celebrating the Mississippi Bicentennial by bringing in artists, storytellers, musicians, food, and organizations from all over the state! It will be located on Capitol St on Dec 9 from 11am-5pm. We need volunteers to help set up, run, and break down the event. If you're interested in washing windows or helping install photos for our #MS200 photo gallery, contact David Lewis at 601-213-6789 and he will tell you where on Capitol St to meet. We will be out all day every day this week hanging pictures and would love you to come for an hour or all day! If you'd like to be a block volunteer, please arrive at our Information Booth on the corner of Capitol St and West St at 8am. We need people to help direct parking, give directions, pass out information, help set up booths, and help out with all our amazing vendors from all over the state. Come as long as you want and celebrate with us! And if you'd like to come just to help clean up, meet at the Information Booth at 5pm. Feel free to contact Abigail Hartman at 662-739-4899 with any questions!
