The Bushwick Film Festival is more than a festival. We are a community with a core team of diverse voices in a time where “diversity” is finally at the forefront. Being a BFF Volunteer is a great opportunity for you to share your love of indie films, join forces with a rapidly growing creative community, learn the inner workings of film festivals, gain production experience, watch fantastic films, network with film professionals and spend time with an incredible team.
RESPONSIBILITIESView and evaluate film entries, provide written reviews.Discuss films with Bushwick Film Festival programming team and staff.Sorting through many, many submissions to find the few hidden gems that will be selected and screened (For BFF 2017, our categories include: Short Film, Web Series, Narrative Feature, and Documentary Feature).Assist programming and marketing teams in promotions, submissions, event planning/execution and any other tasks as needed.

REQUIREMENTS 10 hours a week minimum between August 1 - Oct 3Must have flexible availability during Bushwick Film Festival: Sept 29 - Oct 2Based in NYC. (Bonus points for familiarity with Bushwick neighborhood and culture)Should possess a laptop and high-speed internet accessLove for independent filmsStrong communication skills – written and verbalStrong organizational skillsExperience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suites (Photoshop, Illustrator etc.)
