S1 Myths & Legends WS 4

Read the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th story from the Myths and Legends Book and answer the following questions by choosing the best answer for the MC section.

1. Orpheus and Eurydice (p. 76-77)
2. Perseus & Medusa (p. 88-89)
3. Pegasus & Bellerophon (p. 90-91)
4. Theseus & the Minotaur (p. 94-95)

After finishing the MCs, you also need to finish a writing task by rewriting the ending for one of the myths. The prompts are as follows:

1. Orpheus and Eurydice: How would the myth end if Orpheus never turned back on his way out? (Bonus points if you can still make it a tragedy.)
2. Perseus & Medusa: What if Perseus fell in love with Medusa? You know, love at first sight? :)
3. Pegasus & Bellerophon: What would happen in Pegasus and Chimera are siblings and Chimera is not actually killed? What conspiracies would they plan?
4. Theseus & the Minotaur: What if the Poseidon is actually mad at Theseus killing the Minotaur? How would their father-and-son relationship turns out?

Write a 150-200 word essay extending the myth according to one of the prompts and stretch your imagination!

Each question from the MC is 11 marks, the writing section is worth 21 marks and the full mark is 120!

Good luck!
