Format:All events will be a round of Pools followed by Direct Elimination. All events will be fenced as Mixed rather than split Men's and Women's.
Entry Requirements:Central Secondary School Novice is open to any Fencer who is Year 7 - Year 13 at School and has less than TWO years experience fencing.
Affiliation - Affiliation must be paid to Fencing New Zealand prior to competing in this tournament, if you are not affiliated you will not be allowed to compete, see link below.https://dev.fencing.org.nz/index.php/membership
Saturday 18th May:Individual Epee - Pools followed by Direct Elimination Registration 1.00pm - 1.30pm Fencing commences 1.30pm
Sunday 19th May:Individual Foil - Pools followed by Direct Elimination Registration 9.00am - 9.30am Fencing commences 9.30am
Entry fee: $30 for 1 Weapon $40 for 2 WeaponsEntries are limited to the First 21 entries due to venue restrictions.
Fees will be accepted via cash or cheque during registration on the day.We ask that cheques be made out to cash otherwise they will not be accepted.
Standard Gear Requirements - Fencing Mask, Jacket, Plastron, a Chest Plate is mandatory for Female Fencers, Pants (350N), Long Socks, Foil Lame if Fencing Foil, FIE Weapons are required.
Special Rule Notices: Bayonet Wires/Plugs for Foil are permitted. Visor Masks are strictly prohibited for all weapons. Leon Paul X-Change Masks "MUST" have the secondary Strap/Bar. Leon Paul - All SR71 Epee Blades (2013-2015) are prohibited for use.
