The Young Women Leaders (YWL) scholarship program is open to female high school students throughout the Coachella Valley. Seniors are welcome to apply.

This interactive and engaging scholarship program meets once a month (Oct. - May); students receive resources to help prepare them with the college application process, tools to boost communication and leadership skills, and access to women leaders in the community who serve as role models.

The program’s goal is to guide young ladies as they prepare for college, career and life as future leaders. Seniors who successfully complete the educational programming and project requirements are eligible to receive either a need-based or merit scholarship.  Scholarship awards are up to $2,500 for students attending a 4-year university, and up to $1,000 for students attending community college.

Scholarships are offered in partnership with OneFuture Coachella Valley as part of a coordinated college success program.  WLF is a partner on the Regional Plan for College and Career Success and is committed to improving educational attainment and economic mobility for local students.  YWL has been awarding scholarships since 2012.

Seniors who are accepted into the program will be emailed by September 20, 2026.
