Advocacy 101 - Connecticut Votes for Animals
Join CVA in Preparing for the Fight Against Animal Cruelty, Bear Hunting, Puppy Mills and more…

If you care about animals and want better laws enacted but don’t know where to start, then join us in January! Learn how to increase your voice for better laws to stop animal cruelty, the senseless killing of wildlife, puppy mills, and other animal welfare legislation that will come up this session.

ADVOCACY 101: Speak Up for Animals

Join CT Votes for Animals, legislative guests, and advocacy experts as we discuss the session’s priority issues.

Knowledge is Power. The workshop will give advocates like you an understanding of the legislative process including:
▶ a deep dive into how the CT General Assembly works;
▶ the relevant committees and an explanation of session timelines;
▶ tips on how to write effective testimony;
▶ a step by step plan to lobby state representatives on behalf of animals;
▶ an in-depth discussion of the key legislative issues to be debated this session.

CT Votes for Animals needs your involvement in the legislature this year to ensure success. Please join us January 4th in New London or January 11th in Danbury.

Stay afterwards to watch the inspirational documentary A Dog Named Gucci about how a dog and one determined human changed laws for the better; stay for the movie and enjoy a vegan lunch.
