On January 24th and 25th, the University of California Regents are voting to raise tuition by an additional 2.5 percent systemwide. The proposed tuition hike comes as tens of thousands of UC students face hunger and homelessness, and the California legislature is spending less per student on higher education than before the Great Recession (source:
bit.ly/higheredfunding). As UC students, we demand that the Regents stop the tuition hike, and that the California legislature fully fund the UC system.
If you speak up, we will win! Share how the UC tuition hike will affect you below, and we'll print your story and share it with the UC Regents and California legislature.
