CityPoint Community Group:  Black Liberation Theology
CityPoint Community Groups are back with a 2-week study of a text excerpt by Dr. James Cone titled, "Black Theology and Black Liberation.'

The Rev. James Cone is the founder of Black Liberation Theology. The movement has roots in 1960s civil-rights activism and is inspired by the work and activism of the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X. The Rev. James Cone describes Black Liberation Theology as a way "to teach people how to be both unapologetically black and Christian at the same time."
