2017/18 Parent Teacher Group Nominations
Want to help your children have a fantastic year, have an opportunity to share your thoughts with the school, and grow as part of our community? When parents get connected to the school, children - and their moms and dads - all benefit. We are looking for next year's Parent Teacher Group officers; please consider sharing your many talents with us by nominating yourself, or someone you know.
Our Parent Teacher Group (PTG) is a wonderful opportunity to connect with the families and faculty at St. Mary's, and we invite you to join the team! The PTG collaborates with Parents, Teachers, School Administration, and the Parish to foster a positive relationship between home and school. Involved parents can better understand the challenges our school faces and become part of the solution. The PTG organizes social events, fundraisers, school volunteers, and enrichment programs. There is an open door meeting once a month.
Please submit your nomination by Friday, May 12th.
Parent Teacher Group Nominations: I am willing to serve as (please select all that apply)
President: The President is the key contact between the PTG, School Administration, and Parish. The President presides at all meetings, and appoints chair persons for special committees.
Vice President: The Vice President acts in an advisory capacity to the President and, in the absence of the President shall conduct the presidential duties.
Secretary: The Secretary prepares the agenda for the meetings and takes the minutes, prepares correspondence, maintains master documents, and keeps the calendar of events.
Treasurer: The Treasurer keeps the financial reports and manages funds, is present at all events where money will be collected, and arranges disbursements.
