Private Lesson Request for FALL 2023
--You will receive notification about the status of your lesson request from Linda Smalley, Music Department Administrative Coordinator, after your request has been reviewed by the Department Chair.

--If approved for private lessons, you will receive registration instructions before the end of the Fall 2023 Add/Drop period.

--Beginning guitar, piano, or voice students should register for Class Guitar, Class Piano, or Class Voice (MUS courses), not private lessons. The department does not usually approve private lessons for beginners on these instruments.

--If approved for lessons, you will receive 13 fifty-minute private lessons per semester, beginning the second week of classes, and will be required to present a "jury" (a performance exam) at the end of the semester.
