The Department of Pupil Services invites you to attend our 1st Parent Academy Workshop, hosted by the Edgemont Elementary School, and is open to parents & caregivers of  ALL Montclair Public Schools elementary students.  The event is on November 16, 2023 7:00pm-8:00pm in the Edgemont Auditorium, 20 Edgemont Road, Montclair, NJ . Our guest speaker, Mr. Connor Wills M.ED, LAC, NCC,  an MPS Community Partner, will be leading the discussion. This event will enhance our ability to effectively communicate with children through identifying and helping them manage their emotions. We will also learn how to assist children in building their own "Tool Kit."

As space may be limited, please respond if you will be attending by Monday, November 14, 2023. If you are unable to join us, please feel free to share suggestions for future parenting workshops. Each guest is asked to respond separately.  If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Maggie E. Dock, District Mental Health/Anti-Bullying Coordinator mdock@montclair.k12.nj.us.

*All attendees will be entered into a "Resiliency Toolkit" giveaway. The toolkit items can be used for creating a safe & calming space with your child to encourage and reinforce self-regulation and resiliency skills .
