The Michigan Good Food Charter is a roadmap for a food system that is rooted in local communities and centered on good food. The third Michigan Good Food Summit will be returning to the Lansing Center on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014.
MYFC is hosting a pre-conference session on 10/27 with folks from Michigan Food & Farming Systems (MIFFS) to kick off the revival of our Steering Committee. Join us to learn more about MYFC, MIFFS and discuss young & beginning farmer resources!
The meeting will take place at the Lansing Center, in Lansing, MI!
333 E Michigan Ave, Lansing Charter Township, MI 48933
2:00 - 4:00 PM
Optional Networking Reception & Film Screening to Follow
We will get a brief overview of history and current status of MYFC before we will sit down with our friends at MIFFS to discuss the needs and assets of young and beginning farmers in Michigan, with a focus on possible collaborations as we move forward with MYFC's steering committee revival.
Anyone who feels they are a member of MYFC is welcome to join us. The discussion will be facilitated, and you must RSVP with this form and, if you plan to attend the evening's networking reception and/or the Good Food Summit on 10/28, you must register with the Good Food Summit as well in order to attend. Please let us know if you have any questions!
