Vermillion Area Farmers Market Salsa Contest at the Clay County Fair 2025
Claim the title of best salsa in the county!

Saturday, August 9, 3-4 pm in Clover Hall

Turn in salsas from 2-3 pm (if you haven't dropped off Tuesday or Wednesday already, see below)
People's Choice tasting and judging 3-4 pm
Winners announced on stage at 4:30 pm.

Invite people to come taste salsas and vote on their favorite.

You may enter up to 2 different salsas.  

Provide at least 1 quart of salsa with the list of ingredients and method of preservation if not made for immediate eating (water bath canning, freezing).  May enter up to 2 different salsas per category.

Pre-registration is preferred by August 4, using the form below but you can register at the fair as well.

With pre-registration, you get a pre-filled, typed information card for your salsa!  

Drop off salsas at the 4-H Center on Tuesday, August 6 from 4-6 pm, Wednesday, August 7 from 5-7 pm, or Saturday, August 10 from 2-3 pm in Clover Hall.
