Duwamish Alive at həʔapus Village Park and Shoreline Habitat: Restoration Work Party with Dirt Corps and Port of Seattle
Saturday, October 17, 2026, 10:00am - 2:00pm
Location: 4500 Duwamish River Trl, Seattle, WA 98106
Parking is located across the street from the park in the Duwamish Longhouse parking lots.

Join us for a volunteer work party to celebrate Duwamish Alive at həʔapus Village Park and Shoreline Habitat! Celebrate 20 years of improving the health of the Green-Duwamish Watershed through collaborative stewardship and community activation, and also learn about this important archaeological, cultural, and ecological site that sits on the shores of one of the last remaining original bends of the Duwamish River!

Then, help us with our restoration efforts to promote the many watershed, community, and wildlife benefits that this site supports! Volunteer activities include planting and mulching; removal of English ivy, Himalayan blackberry, and snowberry; and goose fencing replacement and transplanting in the marsh area.

Lunch will be provided. We recommend wearing long pants, long sleeves, and close-toed shoes. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. We will bring the gloves, tools, and snacks. All ages and skill levels welcome!
