Afghan Scholars Initiative
The Yalda Hakim Foundation and Oriel College, Oxford are proud to announce the launch of a fully-funded scholarship for a woman from Afghanistan. The program will be awarded on the basis of academic merit and potential, allowing exceptionally talented Afghan women the chance to pursue a one-year master’s course in any subject at the University of Oxford.  It is intended that the scholarship, for the 2022-23 academic year, will benefit a student from an economically and socially disadvantaged background.

The deadline for this application is November 30, 2021. Please note that this is a two-step application and this is only round one of the application. Successful candidates that meet the minimum requirements below will be invited to apply to round two of the application, due no later than December 1, 2021. -Minimum Requirements;
  - Nationality; Afghan (Dual Nationals will not be accepted)
  - Country of Residency; Afghanistan or Afghan Refugee Status Abroad
  - Completed undergraduate  or graduate degree.  

- Minimum Test Scores;
   -100 on the Internet-based TOEFL
   -7 on the IELTS
   - Minimum GPA of 3.5/4.0 (scale)
