The goal of the class is to acquire basic Arabic reading skills to be able to read the Quran. The target audience is converts and anyone else who hasn’t had any prior experience with Arabic reading. We will start with basic reading (without understanding), going from letters to words to conjugations to eventually reading short Surahs, and then move towards basic understanding through acquiring easy vocabulary and a sense of the grammatical structure.
