Partners for Sustainable Schools (PSS) and Lane County Waste Management Division thank you for your interest in the Oregon Green Schools (OGS) program. For over 25 years OGS has been helping schools "Go Green," and now with the flexibility of 4 different certification "tracks" it's never been a better time to be involved. In addition, completion of an OGS track makes your school eligible for a $500 grant from Lane County (available for your first 3 tracks, maximum of one per year).

-> Simply register, complete the activities, and submit your application; we'll help you with every step, and it can all happen within several weeks!

-> Once complete, we will process your grant funds and a check will be delivered to your school.

Other Information:
-> "ERC" Bonus! The first 6 schools that apply for this bonus in Lane County, and successfully participate in both the NextStep Electronics Recycling Competition (ERC) in March/April/(early)May, AND the completion of an OGS track by May 15th, will be eligible for an additional $500 grant. This "round up" entails:

(1) Encouraging families and others to donate old or broken electronics to NextStep in March/April/(early)May, mentioning your school name when they donate, and;
(2) Host a collection box at your school for one week (pickup week options are listed in the registration form).
(3) The school with the highest number of pounds receives a special award from NextStep. The success of past round ups have been phenomenal, diverting 117,000 pounds of "e-waste" from our landfill!
