Sustainable Grassroots Development Conference, scheduled to take place on 29th
April, 2025 at The Banquet Hall,
Presidential Villa, Abuja with special focus
on Sustainable Energy, Agriculture and Security.
The President and Commander-In- Chief of the
Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu GCFR will
be the keynote speaker.
The Minister of Innovation, Science and Technology, Industry, Trade and Investment, Agriculture, Solid Minerals, Defense and others will be in attendance
CONFERENCE OVERVIEW
The conference aims
to bring together all the 774 Local Government Chairmen/Chairpersons, development
partners, Policy makers, key stakeholders from across Nigeria to address
critical development challenges at the grassroots level and develop actionable
frameworks for sustainable development. The conference will specifically
highlight:
1. Sustainable Energy
Solutions and Climate Action: Exploring Gas and renewable energy
options for rural communities to drive economic growth and improve quality of
life
2. Agricultural
Transformation: Developing strategies to enhance food security, agricultural
productivity, and value chain development
3. Community Security
and Safety: Addressing security challenges affecting rural development and
investment
ALGON alongside Data Analytics and
Solutions International Limited and its Chinese partner CCK Electric Power
Technology Company Limited will flag off the private sector initiative; 'Sustainable Energy Access Projects'
aimed at delivering a minimum of 5mw to each participating LGA, convert 1,000
Petrol Tricycles (Keke) to Electric Tricycles, replace Firewood and Charcoal which constitutes
80% of household cooking energy in Nigeria with Biogas and Natural Gas delivered
using Low Pressure Compressed Natural Gas (LPCNG) and Biogas Cylinders,
establishment of Agro Transformation Centers and Industrial Parks in each of
the 774 LGAs. The aim of SEAP is poverty reduction through impactful,
accessible, affordable, clean and sustainable energy solutions. Data Analytics,
CCK and its partners will showcase its various solutions including the LPCNG
Cylinders, Petrol Tricycles (keke) it converted to Electric Tricycle, locally
manufactured Solar power products and others.
