The Giver Growth Community, Fall '19
The Giver Growth Community is an opportunity for Givers to facilitate their own growth through personalized and focused acts of growth while connecting to community of similar individuals. [To learn about Givers visit here, https://chabadbrandeis.org/beagiver]

This growth will focus on two areas of life.

One, strengthening your External Gravitational Pull.
This is a force totally outside of yourself, most notably an infinite and independent being, G-d, that you commit to through Mitzvot observance. In turn it empowers you to be independent from others perceptions, comfortably distinctive, courageous, and humble.

Two, strengthening your Internal Muscle.
To be the master of your impulses and actions, by making mindful, and perhaps challenging, choices. This can be in any area of your life. For example, disengagement from social media and your phone, regular exercising, quality time with yourself/friends/family, healthier eating habits, school/work habits etc.

First, identify a Meta-Dream, an ideal goal, that you would like to achieve in these two areas of life.
Then identify a Digestible Deed in each area; that is a deed that would be simple to do despite it not yet being part of your routine.
Then identify a Digestion Period - how often it is reasonable for you to do it. Careful not to pull a spiritual or emotional muscle.

We can help you brainstorm with any of this!

To nurture the Giver Growth Community, members will meet for weekly 45 minute exploring/learning sessions with Chanie and/or Peretz. This can be counted towards one's Chabad Club participation.

There will also be special events, bringing Giver Growth Community members together to celebrate the thrill of adulting.

Much love,
Chanie and Peretz

PS. First semester First Years need to wait until their second semester to join.
